The hotel location is perfect. The room was lovely. The staff were excellent. We don't normally spend quite so much on hotel accommodation but it was a special occasion. The hotel lived up to expectations. Thirty years ago we visited and walked past the hotel. We said "one day".
Upon stepping out of our taxi, we were surprised. We were annoyed to be ignored by two doormen, clearly too busy chatting. They did not welcome us and assist with our bags.

The staff were attentive. I found them quick to respond to requests, and i appreciated their warm demeanour. the hotel offered convenient access to nearby attractions was nice, though parking was expensive! i enjoyed the variety of dining options available, each with unique atmospheres, offering diverse menus. the available spa was a nice treat, with several options for rejuvenation after a day of sightseeing.
the room decor felt slightly dated for a hotel of this standing, though it was very clean.

a satisfactory visit
central location helpful staff warm room doubled price
the location was VERY CENTRAL. it made it easy to walk to many attractions. the staff were helpful, especially the doormen WHO offered assistance.
The check-in process felt unwelcoming, and this was a disappointment. The room was warm and noisy, difficult to relax. i expected more for the price I paid. the price for extra 2 days doubled. It was unexpected.
